Who we are

SEOWay (seoway.tech) is a free technical SEO audit tool. For any privacy question or request, email contact@seoway.tech.

The URLs you audit

When you run an audit, the address you enter is sent to our server, which fetches that page and a few domain files (robots.txt, the XML sitemap, llms.txt and the HTTP version of the homepage) and passes the results back to your browser for analysis. For a whole-site audit it also fetches the other pages of that site that are linked from it or listed in its sitemap, up to the page limit. We do not keep the pages we fetch or the reports we produce. The audited address may appear briefly in our web server's standard access logs, which our host keeps for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.

To prevent abuse, we count how many fetches each visitor makes in a ten-minute window. The counter is keyed by a one-way hash of your IP address and expires after about eleven minutes.

Saved projects

Projects are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. They are never sent to us, and we cannot see them. Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes them.

Contact form

If you send a message, we receive your name, email address, the topic, the optional website and your message. We store the message in our site's admin area and receive it by email so we can reply. We keep messages for as long as needed to handle your request and then delete them. We do not add you to any mailing list.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, such as which pages are visited and which buttons are pressed. These tools set cookies and collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type. We do not send the URLs you audit or your contact details to analytics.

We may show ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's ad settings, and learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

Fonts and hosting

Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with Google when a page loads. The site is hosted by a third-party hosting provider that processes server logs on our behalf.

Your choices and rights

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and use a private window to avoid local storage. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to how we use it. Email contact@seoway.tech and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

SEOWay is a professional tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
